Superhero Psychology

I use superheroes from various media in therapy often. I have to admit that my experience as a nerd and therapist leads me to the conclusion that Marvel heroes, especially written by some of the classic authors, tend to be more based on actual human emotional functioning. DC seems to use their heroes to be more icons or myths. This often means that their villains actually are better examples of fully developed psychological concepts. A common exception to that is pretty much anything written by Mark Waid, though.
